Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SCFE) Facility
SCFE is an environmental friendly approach for extraction of natural products/herbals. The ever increasing strict environmental regulations for use of common industrial solvents, most of which are hazardous to human health, have led to the popularity and growth of SCFE technologies employing supercritical CO2 as a solvent (has accepted status as GRAS). Sophisticated SCFE instrumentation allows precise regulation of changes in temperature and pressure and thus manipulating solvating property of SCF which helps the extraction of natural products of wide polarities.
Natural Products Field Laboratory, Department of Natural Products, at the institute is equipped with following two SCFE systems :
1. SCFE Lab Scale
2. SCFE Pilot Scale
Interested parties/industries/institutes/individuals may use this state-of-the art extraction facility as per charges mentioned below :
|Type of SCFE||Charges|
|Lab scale||Indian Rs. 4000/- per sample or per hour of instrument time whichever is more for industry samples + service tax|
|Pilot scale||Indian Rs. 8000/- per sample or per hour of instrument time whichever is more for industry samples + service tax|
Government academic institutes/other institutes or universities/non-profit making government-sponsored institutes will be charged half of the charges indicated above.
SME-Pharma will be charged half of the charges indicated above. The samples need to be processed through SME-centre, SMPIC, Block-G, NIPER. Email:firstname.lastname@example.org
